to LSU where he graduated in 1969. He went on to
medical school from 1969-1973 where he received
his MD license. In 1973-1974 he spent his
internship at David Grant Medical center in
general surgery. 1974-1976 he spent his
residency at Medical University of South
Carolina in Plastic Surgery. 1976-1977 He did
his second residency at Medical University of
South Carolina in the Plastic Surgery
department. 1977-1978 Dr. Letard
was Chief
Residency at Medical University of South
Carolina. Dr. Letard
transferred from Charleston
to Illinois in 1978-1980 to serve as Chief
over the plastic surgery department. 1980-1982
Dr. Letard
transferred from Illinois to Biloxi
Mississippi where he was Chief over the plastic
surgery department at Keesler Medical center.
1982-until present Dr. Letard
relocated
from Biloxi to Knoxville and has established a

I want to introduce myself and tell you a little
about myself. I grew up in Louisiana and
received my education there. My dad was an
anesthesiologist at Oschner hospital. I have
been around surgery since I was a young boy. My
father would take me with him to see patient's
back then I went and watched many surgeries
being performed. I knew that I wanted to become
a surgeon, I wanted to take care of people that
needed help. At age 16 I was a scrub assistant
and worked in all surgeries. I worked with the
plastic surgeons and saw how they were creative
in surgery from helping major accident patients,
baby's cleft lips to cosmetic surgery. I knew
after working with them I wanted to become a
plastic surgeon. I continued to work in surgery
full time during summer part time during school.
I have worked hard to achieve my dream of
becoming a plastic surgeon. I am a fully trained
plastic surgeon and a member of the
American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. I worked
with the Mentor saline implants study. I was one
of the first plastic surgeons to perform Lipo-suction.
I have done thousands of Augmentations surgeries
and other surgeries over the past 10 years. My
practice today is more cosmetic than
reconstruction. I believe helping a person feel
more attractive or making them feel good about
them self they will have a positive attitude on
life and relationships. I look forward to
